COACHING

AN ACADEMIC CAREER ON YOUR TERMS

The Six

$795 Independent

one SHOT

$ 150 Independently Paid Only

Over a six-session package, you can expect to gain clarity around values and goals, identify systems and strategies for succeeding on your terms, and design meaningful accountability structures. Clients often find coaching an important tool when going through a transition, such as starting a new career phase, taking on or leaving a leadership role, or when moving into a new identity or life phase.

Sometimes all you need is a quick session. You can make a one-time appointment to develop a project-based strategy or to talk through an important decision you need to make. The one shot is ideal for working through a specific or acute problem that has come your way. If you think you may need just a few sessions—for example, to have summer writing accountability—you can bundle these sessions.

A little nitty gritty: Coaching packages may be paid for independently or may be paid with institutional or professional development funds. I charge a higher fee to cover admin time for institutional payments. I recommend clients schedule appointments every two to three weeks.

 WHAT’S IT LIKE?

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

What does this look like? My coaching focuses on helping clients make decisions about their writing goals and plans to pursue writing in a way that feels sustainable in the log run. To achieve this, I structure coaching sessions around questions and project planning, and I provide gentle email accountability for goals and benchmarks.
