Hi! I’m Katherine

I’m an Associate Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. In other roles, I’ve launched a popular film studies minor, directed a large interdisciplinary humanities program, and administered a writing center. I’ve written two academic books and over a dozen articles, some of which have won the most prestigious awards in my field. I’ve also published in popular outlets such as The Atlantic and Harper’s Bazaar.

I’m currently writing a biography about Anita Loos: screenwriter, author of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and woman you’d want to sit next to you at a dinner party.
